Lady Sunny Scott

Lady Sunny Scott is the First Lady and Director of the Women's Ministry at the Word of Life Church in Houston, TX. Lady Sunny seeks to serve her church and community to inspire and cultivate the growth and development of everyone she encounters - particularly women and young ladies of all ages and walks of life.  

She has a unique gift for reaching all generations and understands well both the "old & new" and takes pride in being able to effectively bridge the two using Godly wisdom and first hand knowledge of yesterday and today's generations.

Lady Sunny has previously served in her local home church, Little York Church of God in Christ, for many years in multiple capacities such as the music ministry, youth department, and the Young Women's Christian Council. She has grown and developed most all of her knowledge and skills for spiritual leadership during her time at Little York Church of God in Christ by way of watching her grandparents - their former Pastor and First Lady, late Supt. Thomas & Odessa Edwards. She watched them effortlessly lead with exceptional grace, class, and Godly wisdom. Their consistent and unwavering display of the fruit of the spirit, both in the home and at church, has set the framework for how she conducts herself as a wife, pastor's wife, mother, and spiritual leader. She hopes to continue their legacy and allow them to live on through her by way of her service at Word of Life Church.

Lady Sunny is a graduate of the University of Houston, where she has obtained a  B. S. in Curriculum & Instruction with a certification to teach all subjects for children from early childhood to grade six. She is honored and privileged to be called the helpmeet to Pastor Anthony L. Scott, and the mother of four beautiful and exceptional children; Kennidi, Kensley, Joseph, and Aria.

More than anything, Lady Sunny seeks to wholeheartedly serve love and God above all else - especially by way of loving and serving his people.
